For measuring temperature and pressure of decomposition. System based on two pressure resistant cells, furnace and pressure sensors. The oven can sense temperature at a controlled heating rate or maintain a constant temperature (isotherm). The cells allow samples from milligrams to a few grams or milliliters. It is a quick tool for obtaining temperature stability and pressure release data from chemical or energetic materials. Designed to identify process hazards in a plant. It is also used to detect potential problems in the storage or transportation of materials such as weapons propellants, rocket engine fuel, or explosives.
